Telekinesis Poster

Here's the poster for the upcoming Telekinesis concert drawn by Alexander Christopher Hale. Marvelous! We're now also co-promoting the show with The Malt Cross and the Nottingham University High Soc. Don't forget your High Soc cards to get money off on the door.

The Rosebuds Out, Thomas J Speight In

Unfortunately The Rosebuds have had to cancel their support slot for the upcoming Telekinesis show in Nottingham. Apologies to anyone who was looking forward to seeing them, we certainly were. Good news though, Michael Lerner of Telekinesis fame has requested that his good friend Thomas J Speight step in to save the day. He'll be playing some awesome country tinged pop music for us!

DSFAR #32 - Telekinesis

We've not done a gig in chuffing ages, so we're really excited to announce that we'll be promoting a show for Seattle based band Telekinesis! They've been getting loads of awesome reviews for their debut album 'Telekinesis!', produced by Chris Walla (Death Cab For Cutie / The Decemberists / Tegan & Sara). The band recently signed to the legendary Merge Records in The States and the equally amazing Morr Music over here in Europe, both sure signs of quality. The album is one of the best pop records we've heard this year, sounding like the best bits of The Shins, Death Cab For Cutie and The New Pornographers.

Support for the gig will come from Nottingham's own Red Shoe Diaries
and from London is Thomas J Speight.

You can join the Don't Start Feeling All Romantic group, which will keep you up to date with all our gigs and the occasional one-off clubnight we might do. You can also join our group for The Corner Store, which will give you details about the clubnight. Plus if you join everyone will think you're well cool and that.

New Website

We decided to change our website from our heavily D.I.Y effort, which was knocked out on Geocities in an hour or so, to a cleaner looking Blogspot template. It's easier to update, actually works and we can use more fancy pictures and stuff. That's always good. Any gig, clubnight or record release updates, we'll post them on here. You'll be diverted here from the original dontstartfeelingallromantic.co.uk domain address.

Hopefully we will actually get some gigs on in 2009. We keep on getting scuppered due to bands or booking agents giving us the slip. We have got stuff lined up though! Keep checking back or subscribe to our blog using the link on the right-hand side toolbar.

Past DSFAR Shows

Here is a list of the past shows by Don't Start Feeling All Romantic.

We will continue to update this list whenever we put on any more shows.

Thanks to everyone who came to these shows. The awesome picture above is of Jens Lekman playing in Lee Rosy's and was taken by Sebastian Ross in May 2008.
